BSMI
Certification Overview
The ministry of economic affairs the bsmi to develop a set of quality management system, be responsible for sales in Taiwan, or any commercial purpose of products to be imported (including electrical appliances) legal inspection and testing. According to the different products and certification requirements, BSMI totally is divided into the following three authentication mode:
1.Type Approval (TA, Type Approval)

Electronic product, apply motor shell and tube EMC + Safety.Implemented on January 1, 1999.Applicable to the production of single product and must be long-term sales of manufacturers, subsequent customs stock do not need to charge fees at a time.Need to pay annual fee each year.Certificate valid for 3 years, can be a renewal of museum pass.

3.Statement of compliance (DOC, Declaration of Conformity)
Customer declare yourself, to apply to the BSMI for payment.Applies only to information technology equipment components products, shell and tube EMC + Safety.On January 16, 2000.Certificate of permanent, but likely due to long time to replace the standard need to retest.

Product Scope
Product scope according to the authentication model, three different authentication mode, control different product range, basic TA and PRC control products, DOC control products and TA/PRC don't overlap.Details are as follows:
1.Type Approval (TA, Type Approval)

Control 30 kinds, typewriter, cash registers, electronic calculators, disk drives, camera/camera, U disk, mobile hard disk, cd-rom, etc.

Application Process
1.     Customer to prepare samples and information
2.     Engineer to check the samples, data, sample OK, application submitted to Waltek
3.     Waltek the samples and data submitted to Taiwan cooperation lab for testing
4.     Lab report submitted to the BSMI, BSMI certificate issued by

Certification mark
Logo can be printed by the manufacturers themselves, scaling, can be printed on the product itself or on the packaging or tags.R3A001, for example, R is for authentication mode is RPC, 3 on behalf of the inspection area code, and A001 is serial number code, issued by the inspection bureau.Identifier can mark in the test mark below or to the right, below sample:

The validity of the certificate:
1.     The Type Approval (TA, Type Approval) : the certificate is valid for 3 years, can be a renewal of museum pass.
2.     Login validation (RPC, Registration of product Certification) : the certificate is valid for 3 years, can be a renewal of museum pass.
3.     Statement of compliance (DOC, Declaration of Conformity) : permanent effective certificate, but may need to remeasure due to long time to replace the standard.
Inspection requirements: general without inspection.Landing only for validation (2 + 4/5/6/7 model), can provide conforms to the requirements of ISO certificate of exemption from inspection.
The holder requirement: need to Taiwan local registered company or the holder of the local agent.
